Description
Ponstan Forte contains mefenamic acid 500 mg, an NSAID that reduces the production and effects of prostaglandins involved in pain, inflammation and fever. It provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.
It is used for symptomatic relief of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, muscular and traumatic pain, dental pain, headaches, postoperative and postpartum pain. It is also specifically indicated for primary dysmenorrhoea (period pain) and menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding) when appropriate causes have been assessed.
