Infacol Drops is an oral suspension containing simeticone 40 mg/ml, an antiflatulent medicine for babies.
It is used to relieve infant colic, trapped wind, griping pain and discomfort associated with swallowed air.
It helps gas bubbles combine so they can be passed more easily
Shake the bottle before use. The usual infant dose is 0.5 ml (20 mg), given orally before each feed. If symptoms have not improved after 3–4 days, the dose may be increased to 1 ml (40 mg) before feeds. If the baby’s symptoms persist, worsen or do not improve despite use, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist.
