Description
Pantakind-40 40 mg is a delayed-release tablet containing pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the production of stomach acid. It is used for acid reflux, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), reflux oesophagitis, gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers.
Pantoprazole works by blocking the stomach's acid-producing proton pumps, helping reduce acid-related symptoms and allowing acid-damaged tissues such as the oesophagus and stomach lining to heal. Pantakind-40 may also be used together with appropriate antibiotics when a duodenal ulcer is associated with H. pylori infection.
