Description
Piriton 4 mg Tablets contain chlorphenamine maleate 4 mg, a sedating antihistamine that blocks histamine to relieve symptoms of allergic reactions.
It is used for allergic rhinitis and hay fever, including sneezing, runny or itchy nose and watery eyes. It can also provide relief from urticaria (hives), itchy skin, insect bites and stings, allergic skin reactions and other antihistamine-responsive allergies.
Chlorphenamine can cause drowsiness and reduced alertness, making it different from newer non-sedating antihistamines.
