Description
Imiquad 5% Cream is a topical medicine containing imiquimod 5% w/w. It works by stimulating the local immune response in the skin rather than acting as a conventional antiviral medicine.
Imiquimod cream is used for specific skin conditions including external genital and perianal warts (HPV-related warts), actinic keratosis and selected cases of superficial basal cell carcinoma. The exact treatment schedule depends on the condition being treated and the patient's clinical assessment
The product is supplied in single-use 0.25g sachets. After opening a sachet, use it as directed and discard any remaining cream.
“Generic for Aldara” means Imiquad contains the same active ingredient, imiquimod, as Aldara; it does not mean the two products are the same brand.
