Gyno Balance vaginal pessaries contain lactic acid and probiotics that help restore and maintain the vagina’s natural healthy balance.
They are mainly used to support treatment of vaginal imbalance, helping reduce unpleasant odour, abnormal discharge and discomfort.
Insert the pessary into the vagina as directed, preferably at bedtime; complete the recommended course and seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
Insert one pessary high into the vagina at bedtime for five consecutive nights, or as your pharmacist directs. Wash and dry your hands first. Inserting while lying on your back with knees bent gets the pessary high enough that it does not slide out. Wear a liner overnight. Complete all five even if you feel normal by night three, and avoid vaginal douches, scented washes and bubble baths for the whole course and the week after.
Speak to a doctor before using this in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Do not use during your period. Stop if you get severe burning, swelling or a spreading rash. This is a local treatment for the vagina and it does not treat a urinary tract infection, pelvic infection or a sexually transmitted infection on its own, so do not use it for fever, lower abdominal pain, back pain, or bleeding after sex without being examined. Pessary bases can weaken latex condoms and diaphragms during the course. If the discharge, smell or itching is unchanged when the pack is finished, come back for a swab rather than repeating it.
Keep below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from sunlight and heat, and out of reach of children. Leave each pessary in its foil until you use it, because they soften quickly once exposed to warm air. Do not use after the expiry date on the carton.
