How to use

Take one liner from the pack with clean dry hands, peel the backing, and press it centrally onto dry underwear. Reseal or close the pack immediately so the remaining liners stay clean. Change every three to four hours, or sooner if damp. Wash and dry your hands before and after. Wrap the used liner in tissue and bin it. Because these are not individually wrapped, they suit home and bedside use rather than being carried loose in a handbag; take a wrapped liner or a pad for that.

Important warnings

Store this pack closed. An open sleeve of unwrapped liners in a bathroom collects moisture, dust and airborne bacteria, and a liner that is not clean defeats the purpose entirely. Do not carry unwrapped liners loose in a bag or pocket. As with all liners, do not wear one continuously day and night: constant use keeps the vulva warm and damp and is a recognised contributor to recurrent thrush and contact irritation. A liner cannot replace a pad on a bleeding day. Discharge that is itchy and clumpy, grey and fishy, green and frothy, or blood-stained outside your period needs assessment, and discharge with fever, pelvic pain or pain on urinating needs same-day medical attention.

Storage

Keep the sleeve closed and stored in a dry drawer or a lidded container, never open on a bathroom shelf where steam, dust and splashes reach it. Keep it away from perfumed products and cleaning chemicals, which transfer scent to the liners and irritate sensitive skin. Discard the whole pack if it becomes wet, and do not use liners past the expiry date on the sleeve.
