Description
Drez-V Gel is a vaginal antimicrobial gel containing two ingredients: miconazole nitrate 2% w/w, an antifungal medicine, and metronidazole 1% w/w, an antibacterial and antiprotozoal medicine.
It is indicated for the topical treatment of mixed vaginal infections of bacterial or candidal origin. Miconazole helps control Candida yeast, while metronidazole targets susceptible anaerobic bacteria and certain protozoa.
Drez-V may therefore be prescribed when symptoms such as abnormal vaginal discharge, vaginal irritation, itching or unpleasant vaginal odour are associated with a mixed vaginal infection.
